Promenade!!!

Yesterday night was our PROM!!!! Graduation Dinner as they call it, but it sounds better as PROM if you ask me, thought none of us had any dates....but it was fun anyway. It was held at the Hilton hotel and my class booked 2 rooms for the night, so 15 of us trooped up there after the dinner and hung out. But more of that later.

Everyone looked terrific in their gowns, dresses and skirts. Merser looked like a fairy in her custom-made dress. It was organsa purplish-pink and her hair was awesome, so if she had a wand, fairy dust and wings, she could be a fairy in some fantasy movie or go trick or treating, hahaha....She was one of the top 10 nominees for Prom Queen, but sadly, she didn't make it to top 5. But you're still Prom Queen of 4/2 Merser!!!! *Muacks* The title went to Zhimin of 4/6, (snorts), how typical. The judges were teachers, and how typical of them to choose someone from the brainiest class to be the Prom Queen. It should've been Andrea who was in the top 3 and not her. Yucks. She looked nice and adultish in her white gown and with her hair bunned up neatly. But she lacks the X-Factor and isn't really Prom Queen material in my opinion. AND the god-damn school is so bloody prejudice!!! They put my class (a.k.a the worst class to them cos it's Comb. Sci) at the tables with the worst view of the stage!! And we're supposed to be DEMOCRATIC?! *rolls eyes* then again, even our nation isn't that democratic....Emily of 4/1 won the title of Miss Sporty and I can't remember the rest cos I wasn't really paying attention.

It was all really noisy, I mean come on, if you put a whole bunch of girls in a room there's bound to be shrieks and screams which makes the whole night complete! :D The stupid prefects were there too, gross, and I think all the teachers too. The food was pretty good. To start things off we had a mixed dish of prawns, octopus, jellyfish, spring rolls and some stuff that was hard to chew and looked like ngoh hiang. The second dish was Szechuan hot and sour soup (we were kinda hoping it'd be Shark's fin!! hahaha), followed by chicken, then steamed seabass, sauteed prawns in blackpepper sauce (very yummy!!!!), baby kai lan and then Ee-Fu noodles and finally, dessert!! Mango Pudding!!! Absolutely delicous!!!! The mango pieces were sour, just the way Soph and I like it!!!! *grins*

So after the dinner and lots of picture taking, a whole lot of us walked down Orchard Road all the way to Cineleisure in our gowns and heels. My feet were aching and killing me all the way there and back. And I wasn't the only one, Jac, Soph and Fel were suffering too. Anyway, we definitely made heads turn as we were walking, but hey like Merser put it, we only get to get all dressed up like that only once!! Maybe if you're lucky, twice or thrice, but it really isn't an everyday affair.

Back in the hotel room, most of them were asleep by 3a.m, talk about party poopers!! One by one they all fell to the Sandman, until Vicki and I were the only ones left awake. We went to the 7-Eleven next door and bought Bacardi Peach. I'm not sure if it's Bacardi Breeze, but it did say Rum Refresher. Anyway, I downed the whole bottle and Vicki had half, leaving the rest for Sihui and Cheryl. I got real red a bit later and went a little loony too, hahahahaha. Pathetic I know since it only contained 12.9% rum and people go red after drinking beer or vodka or something. Heh hehs, oh well, it was pretty tasty anyway, and I couldn't really sleep after that for some reason, neither could Vicki.

So we went into the next room and looked around in the dark at how the others were sleeping, 7 people in one room with only 2 twin beds. Merser, Jac and Cheryl were on one with Soph, Audrey and Cara on the other. Cara looked real funny, sleeping with her head right next to Audrey's feet!!! Vicki and I could hardly contain our laughter. Then there was Fel, who slept on the floor. Anyways, Vicki put some Vaselin petroleum jelly on Audrey's and Cara's faces but there wasn't much of any reaction. We didn't get a chance to tell them about it cos they woke early and I only got up at 11a.m, with enough time to get dressed and to check out.

I just watched Chasing Liberty and Newsies and I think Matthew Goode in Chasing Liberty is kinda cute. Well he's not hot or anything or that cute really, but he has an appealing look, attractive, like Paul Bettany. There's this 'thing' about them that makes them 'cute' I guess..... :)
