Anyway, Mel helped with the dishes and with the preparations of the other food. We watched Sabrina's Secret Life on Disney for a break and went down to the barbeque pits at 5.30p.m to get the fire going. It took us about an hour or more just to get the damn fire going. And my services as the "fanner" (I fan the fire to help it breathe) helped too I must say, hahaha.... Sophs came at about 6, then Qingsie and the rest started coming. All those who came were me, Vicki, Mellie, Cheryl, Sophs, Qingsie, Cara, Martina, Iris, Naomi, Charity and Elaine. Jac's sis and bro were there too. And her sis managed to get a huge fire started quicker than we did in an hour, hahahaha..
So anyways, I was the only one who wore my swim suit at first, but Cheryl borrowed Jac's and Martina had brought hers too, so we all jumped into the cold swimming pool water. Jac's estate is cool! They've got 4 pools in all! One big pool, a baby pool, a wading pool and a playground in a pool. Vicki, Charity, Marty, Cheryl and I played in it, was fun you know!! Haw haw... I gave a few people wet hugs too when I came up from the water..haha and Elaine pushed Sophs into the water!!! She was fully clothed too!! That was excellent!! Hahahah...she tried to get back at Elaine, but she kept screaming and the guard came to shush us...
But the best part was when, Sophs, Qingsie, Vicki, Jac and I were running from the guards. That was hilarious!!! Hahaha.... That happened at about 10p.m. when most people had already left. Most of us got into the little pool with our clothes on and were taking pictures and fooling around. The guards heard our noise and came to check. So when one of us saw the guards approaching and alerted us, we all srambled out of the pool in a hurry. Boy was it a funny sight!! That happened twice and on the second time, the five of us ran to hide. We ran to another block and hid behind a small wall. Jac went to see if they were following us or looking for us and and came back to us that the coast was clear. So we went back to join the others at the bbq pits. Then we thought we saw the guards coming back again and this time, we strapped on our sandals, slipped into our slippers and made a run for it, this time we ran all the way onto the road that encircles the estate, and ran towards the toilets.
Upon approaching the small block where the toilets and mini mart were located, we climbed up the stairs cautiously and quietly. Jac was in the lead, followed by me and Vicki or Qingsie. Jac went up and exclaimed: "Oh shit!" I went up and said the same thing. Because horrors of horror, one of the two guards was standing right before us, face black like anything. So we all ran down and ran and hid behind a white van. We stayed there for a while until we were sure the guard hadn't followed us. Qing's mom had arrived to pick her up, so she escaped and Vicki cut her little toe. We tried to run back to the bbq pits but saw the guards again from afar and made a dash to the female toilets.
There, Vicki tried to wash her toe that was bleeding profusely now. And all of a sudden we heard footsteps outside and Sophs confirmed that it was the guards because of the jingling of keys. So we hid in the cubicles for a few minutes, just in case they came in, but didn't. And about 10 or 15 minutes later, they knocked on the door. I was afraid we would have to spend the rest of the night in the darn toilet, but we eventually walked out the toilet, and once we pased them, we ran. Hahaha....we finally made it to the bbq pits and the guards were walking towards us. But when the walked past us, they didn't even say a word!!! We realized that they had only wanted to switch off all the lights aroud the pool area...hahaha...boy was the funny!!!
To end off this entry, my English compo that I wrote for the Mid Years is like a total hit and brought joy and laughter to everyone who read it. Mdm. Su said the teachers in the staff room were talking about it and Sophs, Audrey, Vicki, Fel, Charity, Marty, Merser and Cara laughed their heads off when they read it, even Mdm. Su. Hahahahaha....
